FedScoop recently reported that the DOD “plans to keep many parts of its recently enhanced teleworking capabilities in place for the long-term … for a more digitally connected and telework-ready military” (Barnett).
DOD CIO and lead of the Teleworking Readiness Taskforce, Dana Deasy, said “that teleworking capabilities — such as expanded bandwidth and network access and additional devices in the hands of the workforce — are booming” (Barnett). Although the recently launched Commercial Virtual Remote (CVR) Environment will likely not stay in place long-term, “the additional virtual private networks (VPNs), devices and network connectivity options that the department has acquired” will remain, according to Deasy (Barnett).
ID Technologies is supportive of the DOD’s recent efforts of “‘moving at an incredible pace and showing an incredible amount of innovation'” during this time (Barnett)!
