 Northern Virginia Technology Council Announces Finalists of the Fourth Annual NVTC Capital Cyber Awards

McLean, Virginia (October 11, 2022)Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), the trade association representing the National Capital Region’s technology community, today announced the finalists for its annual NVTC Capital Cyber Awards. Winners will be revealed during the seventh annual NVTC Capital Cybersecurity Summit, Wednesday, October 19, at Capital One Hall in Tysons. These awards celebrate the region’s best companies, leaders, and individuals in cybersecurity.

Each nominee has demonstrated the dedication, vision, innovation, and ability to advance cybersecurity technology and make our nation, communities, and workplaces safer and more secure. The panel of judges included David Etue, Nisos; James Leach, Telos Corporation; Essye Miller; Rich Sawchak, Hypori; and John Zangardi, Redhorse Corporation.

The Capital Cybersecurity Summit will gather the best and brightest minds in cyber and national security to discuss latest trends, technologies, and federal policies within the private and public sectors. Keynote speakers are Sue Gordon, former principal deputy director, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and Joe Lea, president of Shift5.

In addition, attendees will hear panelists from globally recognized organizations, including Amazon Web Services, Cognizant, Dark Wolf Solutions, GroupSense, King & Spalding, MITRE Labs, and Tracepoint. Two panel discussions will cover, “Cyber Hacking: Stories from the Front Line” and “Intersections of Innovation in Cybersecurity.”
